Fork Union Military Academy is proud to congratulate Mrs. Sara Miles for being named Teacher of the Term for Term 5 of the 2023-2024 academic year. Cadets nominate teachers at the end of each grading term, and these nominations are reviewed by the Teacher of the Term/Year Committee, composed of non-academic staff members. After evaluating the nominations, the Committee selects the Teacher of the Term.

Mrs. Miles joined the Academy in August of 2021 as the head athletic trainer. She began teaching in January of 2021 to meet a need in the Science Department. Since then, she has consistently taught three terms of Honors and Regular Biology each year, with the addition of Science 7 to her course load this year. During Term 5, Mrs. Miles taught Science 7.

Her positive impact is evident in the cadet nominations she received:
