With weather forecasts predicting the coldest inauguration in forty years, President-Elect Donald Trump has decided to move his inauguration ceremony indoors at the U S Capitol and the outdoor parade in which the Fork Union Military Academy Corps of Cadet had been invited to march has been canceled.

CAPT Mark Black, President of Fork Union Military Academy, this evening released the following letter:

Ladies & Gentlemen,

I unfortunately must inform you that we have been notified by the Presidential Inauguration Committee tonight that due to the anticipated inclement weather on Monday, 20 January, they have moved the inauguration indoors and need to truncate parade participants. Fork Union Military Academy will therefore not be participating in the 60th Presidential Inauguration Parade as planned.

Being selected to participate in this historic event was an incredible honor, and we are immensely proud of the dedication and hard work demonstrated by our students, faculty, and staff in preparing for this momentous occasion. The countless hours of planning and practice showcased the discipline and commitment that define our school community.

We are also deeply grateful for the overwhelming support we received from all of you. The well wishes, encouragement, and financial contributions from our extended school family have been truly humbling and a testament to the strength of the FUMA community.

Please join me in celebrating the honor of our selection and the extraordinary efforts of everyone involved in preparing for this event.
