Fork Union Military Academy is excited to announce the arrival of a brand-new bus, a significant addition to our fleet of seven transportation vehicles. This much-needed vehicle has been made possible through the generosity and dedication of several key groups who have already donated a substantial portion of the funds required to make the addition of the vehicle a reality.
The $90,000 cost has been significantly offset by the generous contributions from three key associations at the Academy: The Parents Association, recognizing the importance of safe and reliable transportation for our cadets, has graciously donated $10,000, and the Alumni Association, always eager to give back and support the academy that shaped their formative years, has matched this donation with an equally generous $10,000. Lastly, the Athletic Director’s Club, understanding the vital role that extracurricular activities and sports play in the development of our cadets, has also contributed $10,000.
This bus's arrival enhances our fleet of transportation, allowing us to expand opportunities and improve our cadets' coordination. From transporting sports teams to away games to facilitating educational field trips, this bus will bolster our ability to support a wide range of activities and events, ensuring our cadets have access to the best experiences possible.
In our ongoing effort to ensure that our cadets have the best possible resources, Fork Union Military Academy plans to purchase a new bus every year for the next five years to continually replenish and upgrade our fleet. This ambitious plan will guarantee that our transportation needs are met and that our cadets continue to travel safely and comfortably.
