Today we honor and celebrate October 15, 1898, the day that our school's founder, Dr. William E. Hatcher, opened the doors to our first class of nineteen students. Fork Union Military Academy has grown and evolved since that day 126 years ago, but we have always remained steadfast in our purpose: Forging devout, educated, honorable young men who are courageous.
